We are pleased to inform you that the final list of projects approved for funding under the Serbian Scientific Cooperation Program with the Diaspora: Support for Visits of Diaspora Scientists, Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, includes two projects led by our Institute.

The project leaders of the approved projects are our colleagues, Dr. Nataša Petrović and Dr. Katarina Cvetanović.

Based on the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia initiative, the project "Urban Forest Soil Indicators as a tool for Climate-Smart Forestry – UrbanFoS" was presented in the Biznis.rs magazine. In this author text, project leader Dr. Milica Kašanin-Grubin, besides the general contribution of the project to the international scientific community and citizens, highlighted the importance and issues of urban forests, as well as the newly established climate simulation laboratory, which should serve as a basis for establishing a network of researchers with similar interests such as biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, etc., even after the project's duration.

We invite you to the second ICTM Seminar, which will be held on May 8th starting at 1:00 PM in the ceremonial hall of ICTM at Njegoševa 12. The lecture titled "Development of biosimilars from the regulatory context, through challenges - to technical capabilities and advantages during product development" will be given by Dr. Srđan Pićurić, Vice President of Technical Development at Polpharma Biologics.

Dr. Srđan Pićurić is a biochemist of Serbian origin, with 20 years of experience in the (bio) pharmaceutical industry. He has gained professional experience and knowledge in various fields of the pharmaceutical industry - from pharmaceutical process development and analytics, project management, portfolio and commercial strategy, to senior leadership roles. Merz Pharmaceuticals, Sandoz, Novartis, and STADA are some of the companies where he gained experience. Dr. Pićurić lives in Munich and currently leads the technical development organization at Polpharma Biologics in Poland.

We invite you to participate in the workshop „Enhancing FAIR and Trustworthy Data Repositories: Insights from the Repositories in the Western Balkan Region“, which will be held on May 8, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:05 CEST.

The event is dedicated to key findings from the FAIR Implementation Support action. The Data Archive for Social Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina (DASS-BiH) and four different repositories of the University of Belgrade have implemented FAIR-IMPACT guidelines to improve transparency, interoperability, and user trust. Within Case Study 2: University of Belgrade – Experiences from Four Repositories, last year's project led by ICTM, in collaboration with IBISS, IMR, and the Vinča Institute, will be presented.
