
The Center for Ecology and TechnoEconomics (CETE) is the newest organizational unit of IHTM and is a research and development organization that conducts applied research in the areas of environmental protection, sustainable use of natural resources, mitigation of the effects of climate change, and techno-economic analyzes of production processes and services.
The Center for Ecology and Techno-economics employs 9 researchers, 6 of whom have a PhD and three of whom are doctoral students.
Using modern instrumental and laboratory techniques and engineering tools, the employees of the Center for Ecology and Technoeconomics conduct applied research in the areas of water, air and soil protection, the use of renewable raw materials and eco-materials, and the consideration of the techno-economic and ecological aspects of production technologies.
The Center for Ecology and Techno-economics, together with related faculties and institutes, participates in the education (preparation of master's and doctoral theses) and professional development of research staff and contributes significantly to the development of research activity and technological development in the Republic of Serbia through regular and active participation in scientific and professional projects and international conferences, as well as through a number of published articles in prestigious international journals and special editions (monographs, book chapters).
