The Center for Chemistry conducts basic and applied research in the fields of organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology and chemistry of biomacromolecules, synthetic polymers, environmental chemistry, inorganic chemistry and computational chemistry.

  • RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT - Organized by conducting multidisciplinary research projects of national and international importance in the field of basic and applied sciences. Research is carried out in the areas of organic chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology, chemistry of biomacromolecules, synthetic polymers, environmental chemistry, medicinal chemistry, inorganic chemistry, theoretical chemistry and chemistry of natural products.
  • CONSULTING AND DEVELOPMENT – Through inter-laboratory cooperation and the exchange of experience and knowledge, as well as through an accredited laboratory, the researchers of the Center for Chemistry offer professional consulting and services to companies and individuals.
  • INSTRUMENTAL ANALYSIS – The Center for Instrumental Analysis is one of the most complete and best-equipped departments of its kind in the country. In addition to a wide range of instruments (gas and liquid chromatographs, IR spectrometer, mass spectrometer, NMR spectrometer, etc.), the department also has ICP-OES, ICP-MS and an elemental analysis laboratory. The department conducts research and development and provides services for determining the structure of organic and biomolecules, analyzing pollutants in air, water and soil, and analyzing alcoholic beverages, medicinal herbs, essential oils, fats and oils, varnishes, paints, plastics, etc.

ACCREDITATION – The laboratory of the Center for Chemistry has an internationally recognized certification - Standard: SRPS ISO/IEC 17025:2017, which certifies the quality system and the expertise of the employees.
