We are delighted to share the news that our colleagues, Dr Nikola Gligorijević, Senior Research Associate at the Department of Chemistry, and Dr Anđela Simović, Research Associate at the Department of Electrochemistry, have received the Đoka Vlajković Foundation Awards for the best scientific articles by young researchers at the University of Belgrade for 2025.
Dr Nikola Gligorijević received the award for his article Structural and functional characterisation of hydrogels prepared from Porphyridium purpureum under acidic condition, published in the prestigious journal Food Hydrocolloids, the highest-ranked journal publishing experimental research in the field of food science. Dr Anđela Simović received the award for her article Nature-Derived corrosion inhibition of steel in HCl by Pančić spruce essential oil: Insights from experimental and computational approaches, published in Applied Surface Science.
