Stanford University released the sixth version of the study based on the Scopus snapshot as of August 1, 2025, and updated data for 2024 -  Ioannidis, John P.A. (2025), “ Ioannidis, John P.A. (2025), “August 2025 data-update for "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators"”, Elsevier Data Repository, V8, doi: 10.17632/btchxktzyw.8  (published 19. 09. 2025). The study is based on a standardized citation metric of all scientists and scientific disciplines. Two lists were published: one listing the most influential scientists for their entire scientific careers and another listing the most influential scientists for 2023. There are 115 scientists from institutions in Serbia on the career list and 152 on the annual list.

We are proud of the results of our colleagues who were included in these prestigious lists of the 2% of the most influential scientists in the world. Our colleague Nebojša Nikolić, as well as our retired colleague Svetlana Štrbac, are again on the career list, while our colleague Marko Popović is again on the annual list.
