The success of our researchers - the Gramulsen project approved for funding by the Serbian Science Foundation's Promis Call

The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia has announced the final list of projects to be funded over the next two years under the Program for Excellence in Young Researchers (Promis). Among the 59 approved projects is the project of Dr. Marko Spasenovic and his team - Gramulsen - Graphene-based Wearable Multiparameter Sensor.

Promis is the first program funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia and is intended for excellent projects of young researchers. The evaluation of the projects took place in two phases, and the excellence, impact, and implementation were assessed. There were 585 applications, 454 project proposals passed to the first stage of evaluation, of which 121 proposals were evaluated in the second stage.

Congratulations to our colleague Dr. Marko Spasenović and his team for the awarded grant, and we wish them much success in the planned research!

The success of our researchers - a bilateral project between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Portugal Water and sediment fluxes within urban and peri-urban areas approved for funding

Within the call for co-financing of scientific and technological cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Portugal in the period 2020-2021, 12 projects were approved out of 78 submitted proposals that met the requirements of the call. Among the approved projects is the project Water and sediment fluxes within urban and peri-urban areas proposed by our colleague Dr. Milica Kašanin-Grubin.

Congratulations to Dr. Milica Kašanin-Grubin and her team on the awarded bilateral project, and we wish them much success in carrying out the planned research!

COST Training School, 16-20 March, 2020, Belgrade

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 2nd Chemobrionics  Training School entitled " Multiscale modeling of the properties of compounds: From isolated molecules to 3D materials". The school will take place at Hotel Palace in Belgrade from 16-20  March, 2020 and is expected to welcome up to 17 European trainees and additional  7 students from Belgrade region. The registration is open to PhD students, post-docs, and permanent scientists from all European countries. The Training School will cover the expertise in a broad field of multiscale modeling. The topics will include physical and chemical aspects of multiscale modeling of solids, liquids, fluid-structure interaction and biopolymers (proteins and nucleic acids), focusing on the formation of biological and biomimetic microtubular structures, the self-assembling patterns in reaction-diffusion systems, the use of  DFT and other methods in mineralogy and for the characterization of biological materials, as well as adsorption/desorption processes.
Students can apply for a fixed Grant which covers a full board in the Palace Hotel in downtown Belgrade and travel expenses (for students from abroad) or meals for students from Belgrade.
A list of Trainers, along with the titles of their lectures, are provided at:
http://trainingschool.in.rs/program.html.
For details about the school and how to apply please visit:
