Capital Equipment

Type of Equipment:

STM / AFM (Scanning Tunneling Microscop / Atomic Force Microscop)

Location:
Department of Electrochemistry, Karnegijeva 4/III
Manufacturer - Model:
Veeco - Nanoscope III d

Short description:

STM is able to detect the atomic structure of the sample. Area to be analyzed is from 50 x 50 to 500 x 500nm.
Limitation: it is possible to analyze only conductive or semiconductive samples. AFM is able to determine the elasticity, hardness and continuity of polymer, metal and other films on various substrates. Area to be analyzed is from 500 nm to 500 x 125 x 125 micron.
There are no limitations regardinh the nature of the samples, it is possible to analyze the non-conductive materials. The analysis is also possible in the liquid phase or in city.
