IHTM dobitnik „Nagrade za doprinos razvoju privrede Srbije“

We are proud that ICTM has won the "Award for Contribution to the Development of the Serbian Economy" presented by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious recognition confirms our passion and unwavering commitment to connecting science and industry, strongly contributing to our country's modernization and sustainable development. The award was presented to ICTM Director Dr Jasmina Stevanović on behalf of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce by Dragan Stevanović,  Secretary of the Association for Chemical, Rubber and Non-Metal Industry, at the Second Internal Scientific Conference "IHTM - A Step Forward 2024", held on December 10 in the beautiful setting of the Opera & Theatre Madlenianum.

This recognition inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation and to contribute even more strongly to the community. We look forward to future projects that will strengthen the Serbian economy and advance the synergy between science and industry.

Uspeh naših istraživača - nagrada Veselina Lučića 2024

We are proud to share that our colleague Dr. Filip Vlahović, the first author of the paper "Design of an ethidium bromide control circuit supported by deep theoretical insight," is the winner of the Veselin Lučić Award for the best academic achievement of teachers and associates of the University of Belgrade in the year 2024. This award is one of four awarded. Awarded paper: Vlahović F, Ognjanović M, Đurđić S, Kukuzar A, Antić, B, Dojčinović B, Stanković D. Uspeh naših istraživača - Univerzitet Stenford je ažurirao listu 2% najuticajnijih naučnika u svetu

Stanford University released the sixth version of the study based on the Scopus snapshot as of August 1, 2024, and updated data for 2023 - Ioannidis, John P.A. (2024), “August 2024 data-update for "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators"”, Elsevier Data Repository, V7, doi: 10.17632/btchxktzyw.7 (published 16. 09. 2024). The study is based on a standardized citation metric of all scientists and scientific disciplines. Two lists were published: the list of the most influential scientists for the entire scientific career and the list of the most influential scientists for 2023. There are 90 scientists from institutions in Serbia on the career list and 134 on the annual list.

We are proud of the results of our colleagues who were included in these prestigious lists of 2% of the most influential scientists in the world. Colleagues Svetlana Štrbac and Nebojša Nikolić are again on the career list, and, colleague Marko Popović is again on the annual list.

Uspeh naših istraživača – dr Kristina Joksimović dobitnica nagrade Privredna komora Srbije za najbolju doktorsku disertaciju

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) awarded for the 56th time Annual awards for the best doctoral dissertations to faculty students with original scientific contributions of exceptional importance in a specific scientific field and with direct or potential importance for application in the economy. We are proud of Dr. Kristina Joksimović, who is one of the 11 winners of the award, for her dissertation " Electrochemical degradation of reactive organic dyes using microbial fuel cells." Dr. Kristina Joksimović received her PhD from the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry, defending her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Vladimir Beškoski from the Faculty of Chemistry and Dr. Danijela Ranđelović from ICTM.

We congratulate Kristina on this exceptional recognition and wish her much success in her future work!

Uspeh naših istraživača – dr Marijana Pantović Pavlović dobitnica nagrade Privredna komora Srbije za najbolju doktorsku disertaciju

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) awarded for the 55th time Annual awards for the best doctoral dissertations to faculty students with original scientific contributions of exceptional importance in a specific scientific field and with direct or potential importance for application in the economy. We are proud of Dr. Marijana Pantović Pavlović, who is one of the 11 winners of the award, for her dissertation "In situ synthesis and characterization of thin biocompatible hydroxyapatite/passive oxide composite coatings for potential medical use."

Uspeh naših istraživača – Kup inovacija 2024 u organizaciji kompanije Merck

Marija Stefanović, a junior research associate at ICTM, participated in the Innovation Cup 2024, organized by Merck KGaA, from July 20 to 26 near Frankfurt, Germany. The Innovation Cup is a prestigious event designed for postgraduate students and postdocs to develop new innovative ideas and create convincing business plans for products in Merck's strategic interest areas. During an intensive one-week summer camp, participants collaborated in teams to develop and present their innovative solutions to a panel of judges. Marija was part of Team Synthetic Biology, which earned the 2nd Runner-Up position and a prize of 3,000 EUR. Merck may potentially implement the best ideas from the event. Uspeh naših istraživača – nagrada Matice srpske “Josif Pančić”

Dr Danijela Vidaković, senior research associate, is the winner of the "Josif Pančić" award given by Matica srpska for notable scientific research results in the field of fundamental and botanical disciplines in the period from January 2021 to January 2024.

In that period, Daniela described two new diatom species for science (Mayamaea pannonica Vidaković, Krizmanić & Levkov; Nitzschia haloserbica Vidaković, Ector, C.E. Wetzel & Krizmanić). She is the winner of the Alexander von Humboldt scholarship for postdoctoral study in Germany and the Synthesys project funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020, during which she stayed at the Natural History Museum in London. She is also the winner of the award for the best poster presentation at the 8th Balkan Botanical Congress, which was held in Athens in 2022.

We are proud of our researchers and collaborators, who received the best paper award in the Microsensors & Optoelectronics session at the conference “The 47th edition of the International Semiconductor Conference - CAS2024, an IEEE event, Sinaia, Romania, October 9 - 11, 2024” (https://www.imt.ro/cas/paper_awards.php). Uspeh naših istraživača – zlatno priznanje Invent Arena 2024

The team from ICTM, together with the professors of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy and the Faculty of Medicine, received a gold award at the Invent Arena in the Czech Republic (The Invent Arena 2024). The team consisted of: Milka Avramov-Ivić, Ana Gavrovska, Dragan Vuković, Dušan Mijin, Slobodan Petrović, Braninir Reljin, Irini Reljin, Sanja Stevanović, Jelena Lović.

The diploma is the result of the work of the finalized project Eureka E! 13086 Acronym DIDIB, whose manager was from our Institute, Dr. Milka Avramov Ivić. Congratulations to the team on this remarkable success in innovation development!

The first General Meeting and Conference of the COST Action CA22155 "Network for forest by-products charcoal, resin, tar, potash (EU-PoTaRCh)," organized by the Institute of Ethnological Research, Prague, Czech Republic, took place from 5 to 7 March 2024. At this event, our colleague Dr Nataša Jović-Jovičić, Principal Research Fellow at ICTM, was awarded for the best poster presentation.
