The success of our researchers - approved projects within the "PRIZMA" program of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia

The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia has published the final list of projects that will be financed in the next three years as part of the "PRIZMA" program. Within the evaluation procedure, carried out in two stages, 97 projects were selected for financing.

ICTM is proud to be the coordinator of four projects:

  • UniCorn - Unique enzyme solutions for obtaining added value products from corn - PI Dr. Biljana Dojnov, and the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry will participate as a partner institution.
  • UrbanFoS - Urban Forest Soil Indicators as a tool for Climate-Smart Forestry - PI Dr. Milica Kašanin-Grubin, and the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Forestry will participate as partner institution.
  • PlasmaHarvest - Plasmonic-based light harvesting for photocatalytic microfluidic devices - PI Dr. Dana Vasiljević-Radović, and the Institute for Nuclear Sciences "Vinča" will participate as partner institution.
  • Polygraph - Polymer/graphene heterostructures for physiological sensors - PI Dr. Marko Spasenović.

ICTM will also participate as a partner in B projects:

  • DOMINANTMAG - Development of epsilon-iron oxide-based nanocomposites: Towards the next-generation rare-earth-free magnets – lead SRO Institute for Nuclear Sciences "Vinča".
  • PhotoSCLART - Development of nature-inspired photoresponsive anticancer agents - sclareol and artemisinin derivatives in cancer multidrug resistance models: a foundation for the theranostic approach – lead SRO University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry, and ICTM, Innovation Center of the Faculty of Chemistry and Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" as partner institutions.
  • XPACT - Exploration of PETase side activity of digestive enzymes of human gastrointestinal tract acting on micro- and nanoplastics: mode of action and products characterization – lead SRO University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry.
  • HYDIS - Multifunctional visible-light-responsive inorganic-organic hybrids for efficient hydrogen production and disinfection – lead SRO is the "Vinča" Institute of Nuclear Sciences, and the ICTM, University of Belgrade - Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy and the Innovation Center of Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy as partner institutions.

Congratulations to all the teams whose projects were approved! We wish them much success in the realization of the planned research!
